Congratulations to Steven Chu with winning the Not A Hotel Design Competition 2026 with his submission "Sound of Rain." His winning design, anonymously presented as entry #349, was selected among 1058 suggestions. Chu based his design concept on the rainy climate of Yakushima, and his work was highly praised for its bold and unique approach that placed the sound of rain and the timing of rainfall at the heart of the architecture.
